Veterans Advantage was created to advocate for veterans and their families, who often lose valuable benefits and services after leaving the military. Our coalition of partners support this mission by extending generous benefits to our members, who access valuable, everyday discounts and services with the VetRewards Card, aiding in the transition to civilian life and beyond.
Consequently, we've donated VetRewards Cards to assist those most in need: wounded veterans, their caregivers and student veterans transitioning on the GI Bill. Including VetRewards Cards sent to deployed military personnel overseas, we have donated over 460,000 Veterans Advantage memberships.
But our work in assisting the military community doesn't end there.
Led by veterans, we at Veterans Advantage understand the talent and tenacity former military personnel bring to the workforce, and have always advocated for the hiring of veterans. Soon after our founding in 2000, we developed the Veterans Advantage Jobs and Career Network on VeteransAdvantage.com, providing a valuable resource for all veterans in the hunt for work or looking to advance their careers. Vet-friendly employers have free and unlimited access to post job openings on our jobs board that is viewed by highly skilled veterans who can post résumés, set up job alerts and receive free career advice from experts.
Each year, we also host a number of free events that can be enjoyed by all our members, the highlight being Heroes Meet Heroes that takes place each year during Veterans Week NYC. Hosted at the historic New York Athletic Club in Manhattan, our members have the opportunity to meet and mingle with Olympians and world-class athletes who are sponsored by the club and train at their facilities. This annual gathering has proved to be inspirational for both parties, veterans and athletes, who share a common dedication to excellence, and is free to all who register to attend.
